Trainer’s Community Lab is an intensive seminar designed by trainers for trainers who want to go beyond typical meet-ups and build practical solutions for strengthening Europe’s youth work training community. This residential learning experience focuses on mapping needs and gaps in the field, co-designing new support systems, improving recognition of the profession, and shaping shared practices and community rituals for trainers across Europe

What are the objectives of the training?

  • Explore and critically reflect on the concept of “community”, translating insights to youth work trainers’ realities at local, national and European levels.
  • Analyse the existing ecosystems of support for trainers in the European youth field.
  • Identify what is needed for youth work trainers to develop a global “community” in order to provide appropriate recognition, support and professional development.
  • Co‑design and test concrete prototypes* that can feed into European‑level support and recognition systems for trainers in line with and building on the European Training Strategy.
