In the week from 22nd to 28th May, we have prepared for you a variety of different sport events in order to promote MOVE Week.

What is MOVE Week?

MOVE Week is a yearly worldwide occasion created by ISCA that highlights the advantages of staying active and engaging in sports and physical activities on a consistent basis.

Below you can find all activities organised in Vienna:

In cooperation with Fitness Crew Vienna we are organising an inclusive workout in the beautiful area of Prater. The workout includes a combination of cardio and strength training with short warm-up and cool-down.

Our yoga instructor Hannah will guide you through this beginners class. It will be a slow flow but still very energising. The class will take place outdoors in beautiful Augarten.

Our yoga instructor Hannah will guide you through a dynamic and energising Yoga Flow. The best case would be if you have done a few classes already & Yoga is not totally new to you. The class will take place outdoors in beautiful Augarten.

The hike start at Wien Nußdorf train station and from there goes along Danube all the way to the top of Leopoldsberg. Once we reach the top, there will be a snack break, during which we will do a short clean-up and use the opportunity to capture pictures of the beuatiful view of Vienna. From the top, the path goes through Viennese forests and vineyards providing wonderful views of the city. This is an intermediate hike. The whole trail can be found here.

We will gather in beautiful Prater near Kaisewiese and spend the afternoon playing spikeball and badminton. Apart from sports, you will have a chance to participate in a quiz about Sustainability and learn something new about this trendy topic.

The session will take place in Prater and is designed for beginner nordic walkers who want to learn the correct technique of this sport and practise with an instructor. At the beginning, we will go through the correct usage of the trekking poles and basics of nordic walking. Our nordic walking instructor Stanka will guide you through the session. Afterwards we will make a short stroll across Prater in order to practice this sport.

What to bring:

  •  sport shoes (avoid full/high boot or shoe) and clothes
  • water or snack
  • sun hat, cap, sunscreen
  • trekking poles – In case you do not have poles, please write it down below in the form, so we can provide them for you.

This urban trekking event includes 99 minute walk during which you will have a chance to spend your day being active, meet other your people from different countries and backgrounds, visit institutions and relevant actors such Public Employment Service (AMS), share your dilemmas and get answers from young entrepreneurs from different areas (language, art, IT, social work and others) and much more.
