The U-PLAYS Festival 2026 marks the final celebration of our Ukrainian youth programme, bringing together young people, families, partners, employers, and the local community for a full day of sport, learning, culture, and connection.

Visitors will have the opportunity to network with employers, explore job opportunities, enhance their CVs, and practice German in language cafés. Sports enthusiasts can join tournaments, relays, and games, including basketball, badminton, yoga, pilates, and more. There will also be interactive activities, performances, and workshops for all ages, making it a fun and engaging day for the whole community. The festival will offer activities for different age groups, including friendly sport tournaments, games, creative workshops, cultural activities, partner stands, and opportunities to meet local organisations and employers.
While the festival is especially connected to our work with Ukrainian youth in Austria, it is open to everyone who would like to join, take part, meet new people, and celebrate community, inclusion, and active participation – you do not need to be part of the U-PLAYS programme to join.
Festival Programme
10:00 – 10:15 | Opening Ceremony
Kick off the day with a warm welcome and an introduction to the festival activities.
10:15 – 13:30 | Sports, Games & Cultural Activities
- Friendly sport tournaments and relays for all ages
- Family-friendly games and creative challenges
- Cultural workshops and community activities
14:00 – 14:15 | Afternoon Programme Introduction
- Overview of afternoon highlights and workshops
14:15 – 16:30 | Job Fair, Language Café & Career Workshops
- Job fair booths with local employers
- Employment readiness workshops: resume reviews, interview practice, making a professional CV photo
- Language café and networking opportunities
16:30 – 17:00 | Closing Ceremony & Awards
- Celebrate achievements with acknowledgements and awards

Want to get involved as a volunteer?
We are also looking for volunteers who would like to support the U-PLAYS Festival on the day of the event. Volunteers can help with different tasks, such as welcoming participants, supporting activities, helping at stands, assisting with food and logistics, or supporting the sport and games programme.
No special experience is needed — just motivation, reliability, and a friendly attitude.
