The Free Online German Language Course was delivered as part of the UPLAYS programme, offering young Ukrainians living in Austria the opportunity to improve their German skills in a flexible online format. The course focused on practical, everyday communication, helping participants build confidence in situations such as shopping, public transport, or visiting a doctor. Designed with beginners in mind, it supported participants in strengthening basic language skills and developing conversational fluency.

Delivered weekly via Zoom, the course provided an accessible and supportive learning environment, free of charge, as part of the UPLAYS project. It complemented the in-person UPLAYS activities by offering additional language support online.

About the Teacher

Greetings!
My name is Anna and I am currently in my final year of studying German Philology. I find the German language incredibly beautiful and at the same time logical, expressive, full of quirky details. For me being a teacher means passing on this passion, helping my students discover the joy of learning German and supporting them with their goals. I am genuinely happy to see their results – getting into a Studienkolleg or uni, getting certificates and using German confidently in real life.
This year, I had an exchange semester at the Free University of Berlin, where I got wonderful academic experience, deepened my knowledge of the culture and language and took my C1 exam. Besides, I am always eager to develop my professional skills. That’s why I regularly participate in workshops and Weiterbildungskurse that help me make my lessons more creative and effective.
