YOU 4 YOUTH is an Erasmus+ training course focused on improving the quality and innovation of youth work, with a special focus on community development in a democratic society.

The training will bring together youth workers from different countries to exchange experience, share good practices and develop new skills for supporting young people’s active participation. Through non-formal learning methods, workshops, discussions and practical activities, participants will explore how youth work can promote democracy, inclusion, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue and cooperation with local communities.

During the training, participants will:

  • Explore practical methods for planning, implementing, evaluating and improving youth work activities
  • Learn innovative tools for creative, inclusive and participatory youth work
  • Discuss how youth work can support community development and help young people respond to local needs
  • Strengthen competences in promoting democratic participation and active citizenship
  • Exchange good practices with youth workers and organisations from different countries
  • Develop ideas and action plans that can be used in local organisations after the training
  • Create space for international cooperation and future Erasmus+ partnerships focused on quality, innovation and community engagement 

The course aims to support youth workers in making their activities more meaningful, inclusive, sustainable and connected to the real needs of young people and local communities.

Who can apply

This training is open to youth workers aged 18+, including both professionals and volunteers, who are already involved or are becoming involved in youth work and youth organisations.

Participants should be motivated to actively take part in the full programme, share their experiences, learn from others and apply the gained knowledge in their own organisation or local community. A working level of English is required.

Practical information

  • Accommodation: Participants will stay in a Penzion Lucerna, in double or triple rooms.
  • Meals: Full board will be provided by the organisers.
  • Reimbursement: Travel costs will be reimbursed after the mobility, up to the maximum amounts set by Erasmus+: 211€ for participants traveling from Austria (285€ in case of green travel = no flights). Participants are required to keep all tickets and original boarding passes and after the training hand them over to the organiser or send upon return home.
  • What to prepare: Information about interesting and inspiring examples of activities, events, tools and methods used in the youth work and the key topics of the training (community development, democracy and participation).

To reach the venue please check the connections to Prague or Brno.

  • To travel from Prague: please find the connection to be ready to take the last bus from Prague to Pelhřimov at 17:45 from the bus station ROZTYLY (around 1 hour from the airport)
  • The connection from Prague – Roztyly: 12:45, 16:30, 17:45, later there are trains.
