The Leadership for Green Transition training course is designed to equip youth workers with the skills and knowledge to become true leaders in Europe’s green transition.

Hosted in the scenic coastal city of Zadar, Croatia, this Erasmus+ mobility empowers participants to integrate sustainability into their organisations, lead change in their communities, and promote environmentally responsible youth work.

  • Date: 25. – 31. January 2026 (Thursday and Saturday are travel days)
  • Location: Zadar, Croatia
  • Registration: https://bit.ly/my_eu_project

By participating, youth workers will:

  • Explore leadership’s role in sustainable youth work
  • Learn strategic planning and resource management for greener organisations
  • Embed environmental and social responsibility into everyday youth work practices
  • Co-create tools and resources that contribute to long-term impact and peer learning

Who Can Apply?

This training is for:

  • Experienced youth workers seeking to deepen their expertise
  • Project managers and organisation leaders looking to enhance their leadership capacity
  • Emerging youth workers curious about sustainability and eager to learn
  • Participants committed to active involvement before, during, and after the training, including follow-up dissemination activities
  • Participants 18+ years old and confident in communication in English

The training will take place at HI Hostel Zadar, just by the sea and a short walk from the city centre.
Participants will stay in shared rooms (with private or shared bathrooms), and the venue is accessible for people with disabilities.

Travel arrangements

We strongly encourage eco-friendly travel options like train or bus to align with the project’s values. Travel costs will be reimbursed after the mobility, up to the maximum amounts set by Erasmus+: 211€ for participants traveling from Austria (285 € in case of green travel = no flights). To ensure you receive your reimbursement, it’s very important to keep all original tickets, boarding passes, and receipts. After the training, you’ll need to send them by post (and scan them as a backup).

More Practical Information

  • Meals: In line with the training’s eco-focus, the course will offer a fully vegetarian menu — no meat, fish. You’ll enjoy delicious and nutritious vegetarian and vegan meals prepared by an experienced chef who proves sustainable food can be tasty and fulfilling.
  • Your Commitment: Participation doesn’t end with the training — Each participant will be asked to organise one local dissemination activity, sharing what they’ve learned with others (documented with photos and captions)
