In today’s rapidly evolving world, youth workers are on the frontlines of change. The “Boosting Youth Work & Local Action” training course is a one-week Erasmus+ mobility designed to strengthen youth work practices, empower civic participation, and promote inclusion across Europe.

Bringing together youth workers, educators, and facilitators from diverse countries, this training blends non-formal learning, creative tools, and intercultural dialogue to spark real transformation—both in local communities and in the broader European youth sector.

Over the course of the programme, participants will experiment with innovative approaches like World Café, Open Space, Digital Storytelling, Theatre of the Oppressed, and Gamification to co-create new models of participation and local engagement.

This training course will:

  • Provide hands-on experience with dynamic non-formal education methods
  • Encourage the co-creation of a methodological toolkit for youth and community work
  • Support the development and testing of local micro-activities
  • Promote intergenerational dialogue and intercultural storytelling
  • Explore creative alternatives to traditional participation methods using digital tools and social media
  • Simulate processes of active citizenship (e.g. youth assemblies, role plays)
  • Inspire the development of local action plans for youth inclusion and democratic engagement
